Emergency/Medical Services
For Emergent Medical Care:
Call 911.  Emergency ambulance service will respond to your call and transport you to the nearest open emergency department

For Routine Medical;  Please choose from the following options:
Erickson Health Centre (the former Erickson Hospital).  Call 204-636-6809 to make an appointment with Dr. Breytenbach, a family physician who has an office in the Erickson Health Centre. Office hours are Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 12 noon, and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. He prefers to see patients with appointments rather than walk-ins.
Lab work can be done at the Erickson health Center and faxed to your own doctor.  Appointments are preferred but walk-ins will be accepted.  Lab fax number:  204-636-7891

Your call will be answered by a Registered Nurse who will answer your questions, offer advice and help you find health care resources in your community.

Automated external defibrillator (AED):
This is a device used in diagnosing life-threatening cardiac problems. It increases the chances of survival while waiting for the arrival ofEMS (emergency medical services).  Prompt and effective administration of CPR/AED and first aid can mean the difference between life and death. 

AED’s in RMNP:
Visitor Center:  9:30am to 8pm in the summer; 9:30am to 5pm off-season
RMNP compound/maintenance area:  During hours of operation
There is also an AED in the Onanole Community Center

The RMNP administration building is open Monday through Friday from 8:30am to noon and 12:30 to 4pm.  The telephone number is:  204-848-7275

The public is encouraged to use the dispatch telephone numbers for both the RCMP and RMNP as the call centers are manned 24 hours and are able to contact the appropriate staff people immediately.
